Cajees Fourways sucks

Cajees are shark SH**,

i was in a position of having to change my girlfriends tubeless tires and in the process of shopping around (always believe its best to check, if for nothing more than a window shopping session)and happened to be in the sevens centre one sunday hence a trip into the shop.

now i have a few problems with the store which i will list:

  1.
  2. the staff were standing right outside the store in a plume of blue cigarette smoke when we arrived( as an ex smoker there is nothing worse that the smell of tobacco)( admittedly i know this is a pet hate and over looked it).
  3. we were asked by one of the guys that smelled like an ashtray if he could help, to which i stated we were looking for tubeless tires.
  4. i was shown to the wall of stock they had and advised that the continental tires are best for her type of riding( OK admittedly i was playing dumb to a degree).
  5. i then asked about the Maxxis tires as i have them on my bike and love them.
  6. i was handed a set priced at R595 each!!
  7. i know the price of these and almost fell over when i saw their price. when i stated he was mad i could get the online for R400 he went off and came back saying that was too low, best he could do is R450.( this is where i have a problem, i will pay what something is worth but refuse to be ripped off).
  8. so after deciding against them we made a trip to Solomon and got the exact set for R380 a tire>

ok end of vent

Jesus! You're worse than the OP. Enough with the smoking crap. And besides, if you're so knowledgeable, why the hatred?

FFS! Go and cry to your Momma. You went home with it and then only complained? What are you, two years old? Get a grip on reality already.

I specifically told the guy I wanted SLX/XT and not Deore, he knew if he mentioned the Deore crank it would be a dealbreaker

But, didn't you look at what you bought before you walked out the door?

I'm just saying, I buy anything, I check it is what I wanted/ordered before I pay/leave...

I know for next time but I am also sure there will be no next time at Cajees for me. You expect to get what you were sold, I only noticed when I wanted to put my pedals on. I suppose I should have noticed the crank arms were silver and not silver/black but I was in a rush to get home with my new toy.

A number of years ago I had 30k worth of fraud committed on my Credit Card at Monte Casino! The afternoon of the fraud I had used my card at Cajees (virtually next door).

Working out my movements and Credit Card usage, I deduced that the most likely culprits were Cajees. I picked up the phone to give the Manager a very friendly heads up that there was a possibility that someone at Cajees had committed the fraud, and.......

The oke sh@t all over me for even thinking that his staff were even remotely responsible for this!!!

All I had tried to do was warn him, and got a very hostile reply!

Simple answer, and I hope he reads this!

How much money do you think I've spent on Cycling since then?

A "kakhouse" full, and not one cent of it was or ever will be at Cajees!

P.S. The 30k was eventually refunded by STD Bank!

I bought a 180mm Shimano rotor at Cajees Princess crossing on Friday, got it for R90 cheaper than another well known shop down the road.

You just need to be on your toes and do your homework...

Maybe you shouldn't have to be but to be honest I have also been caught out at the other well known shop down the road as well...

The only reason you go to Cajees is for the tools. Just walk up to the counter and you'll find a whole bunch of them

Same as shopping for anything, at any store, from tampons to houses. Unfortunately, it's not beware of the buyer anymore, but buyer beware.
