Breezer Posted September 13, 2011 Share My FSA team issue is 3 years old. I had no problems at all. Just get something with external BB.
SeaBee Posted September 13, 2011 Share Thanks Tankman... but my min-hijack continues. Any truth in the rumour that you've got to run a specific ceramic BB with the SRAM Red?! Or are there more affordable options for us mere mortals? The specific ceramics adds about a third to the price of the crankset.
Tankman Posted September 13, 2011 Share Nope you dont have to buy the creamic bb of R1200 Truvativ has a GXP bb for around R350/400, works just as good.
Tankman Posted September 13, 2011 Share Oh, just saw that Sram has a new GXP bb!

EggsBox Posted September 14, 2011 Share Thanks Tankman, So if I understand correctly, I can use the new GXP BB on a frame that would normally use an English BB, with the SRAM Crank? Must it be a SRAM GXP (enabled) Crank?
Tankman Posted September 14, 2011 Share Yup, SRAM cranks use a GXP bb. See the image on the previous page, gives you two options ... English Thread or Italian Thread You gan get the Sram GXP or Sram Creamic GXP BB or the Truvativ GXP or Creamic GXP bb in either thread, depending on your frame.
