MTB shoes

A week ago I was telling all and sundry how great my North Wave shoes are and that I will never wear anything else.

 

Well a week is a long time and this morning it ripped really badly. What I liked about them was that they are quite wide in the fore foot.

 

I am in need of new shoes. They must be wide in the front.

 

Price is not really a problem.

 

Any recommendations?

I also got wide feet. Prefer the fit of specialized shoes. Had a pair of basic mtb sport for years and very comfy. Just upgraded to their comp version, with side buckle and 2 straps. Hurt my feet for first few rides but settled in now and all good. I won't look past spez shoes for me.

I'll also go back to specialized for my next pair. I had a pair for 6 years, and they were superb. Gave them away to one of those charitable cycling organizations, cos the only thing wrong with them was a crack where the top section creases when you walk. The crack was just superficial, and if I hadn't been looking for something stiffer, I would have kept them.

If money is not a problem, get Specialized S-Works. They are the best.

The Mavic Razors are not that bad either. Upgraded from Shimano's, big difference in terms of comfort and feel.

How about the shoes on special today at CWC? Suplest, read a review on them and they seem quite comfy.
