Specialised Epic Comp or Giant Anthem 1

The Specialized is the better looking bike but the Anthem will be lighter, hence it will be a better racing bike me thinks. Both good choices.

I agree, if you riding for podium the 1-2kg weight should not worry you..

Had a similar choice a couple of months, went with the Specialized because I like the suspention and frame looks more - I know, very objective....

Anthem, I think the suspension works better.

 

You are forking out some good cash, take both for a good long (a few hours over varied terrain) test ride.

Also remember - if you bought the Giant you can't say (like Marius) -

I'M SPECIAL !!!!

 

May not seem like much now but constant self affirmation works over time(I think)

I got the Anthem 1 the other day for the Epic and I can say its the best MTB Ive ever ridden, Ok I havent ridden many but still its a really good bike. Specilized are over priced.
