Does withdrawal symptoms impact your riding? had a terrible day in the saddle this morning but hey 72h done!

I'm sure it can, I suppose you just have take it in your stride and forge on! A couple of days crappy riding is a fair trade for better fitness overall.

I found when I stopped the last time it had a negetive effect, but within a week the benefits of not smoking started to come through.

So I started my course of Champix on Sat morning, I have set my stop date for this coming Sat 21st of April.

The Champix must be working as I have hardly smoked over the weekend, even after my mother was admitted to ICU on Friday night, not sure why my parents always end up in hospital and make me so stressed around the same time I'm quiting.

The Champix has made me feel a little quisy after I've had a ciggie. When I have had a ciggie, it made me want to get sick so I have not even had a full ciggie since Friday.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Best of luck for the quitting though. Just have to hang in there.

I'll be joining very soon, hardly smoked anything yesterday and not having many cravings for a ciggie, Champix seems to be doing what its supposed to.

I stopped on the 1st of January. My chest has only gotten worse. I am very very sensitive for any kind of smoke wether it be braaivleis or Joburgs good old dirty air. Trying different kinds of Astma pumps at present.

I guess 15+ years of smoking just doesn't go away in 4 months time.

Stick to it guys.... they say a habit take 21 days to break.
