Training Applications for Samsung Galaxy Ace

Got my Samsung Galaxy Ace yesterday, but being a bit technology handicapped I want to know if there is an apllication available for it, similar to the Blackberry one, where you can log your training rides with routes, etc.

If so, where can I get / download it and is there a fee for it?

sportstracker is free and also very good

Whats nice about Endomondo is that if the live tracking is on, you can follow your friends on the web. You can also save routes, so e.g. I want to go and ride in Hermanus, I go on the web, go check out the saved routes, download it to the phone and go ride it!

Can't find my specific phone on the download page (Samsung Galaxy Ace). Will it make a difference if I download ap for different Galaxy (see there is a Galaxy A, but picture looks different to my phone)

Isn't endomondo in the android market? Rather get it from there than from the app's website.

Did you come right with the Endomondo for the Ace as I have down loaded it a couple of times now and not been successful!

Got it downloaded and tracking workouts, but I cannot get it to upload the session to Endomondo. It is set to upload automaticaly, but it does not do it. Even when I click on upload button, it just "hangs" until phone timeouts.

I use Endomondo on my galaxy sII and it uploads all my rides to endomondo.com no problem, straight out of the box. Awesome app!

Got hold of the Samsung Boys during lunch and explained the issues I have been having.

 

They suggested I leave the phone on and remove the battery as this is how you reset a Samsung ... did this and now all is well. The software is installed and I can't wait to try it out
