Going back to the earlier discussion - would these be the ideal time for QDK to bat to the people suggesting he bat 7?

suppose the proof is in the pudding, in Durban. Qdk lasted seven balls, caught behind off Kyle Abbott.

I say give him more first class action before we look at him in the test squad.

My point was when he gets a shot to let him open and not play at 7.

If the guys score runs there is no need to change them but how long do you persist? Then do you rather get some young raw talent or someone (older more experienced) else who has 2 seasons tops. Might be an ideal opportunity to learn from Smith and intergrate him into our squad which consists of a lot of older players now.

Abbot is a great bowler who would probably walk into a lot of other international teams. I would pick him over Kleinveld

SA top order did not bat like the #1 side yesterday. It is dissapointing that they could not handle full, streight bowling. I wonder if this is what happens when Gary is no longer coach?

Pietersen's time may be up - how many chances will he get? He was looking good, till he got out.

Kallis is a more difficult problem - will he lift his game again, and what to do if he doesn't?

AB and JP - just poor batting, or are India the better side? It looks as if they are doing better in SA conditions than us.

Great knock by Vern so far, there are still hopes that we can get level with India.

But we will also bat last, we need to bowl extremely well when they bat again.

Who will Eng replace Pietersen with ? I think he can still add plenty value .... Petersen is definitely under pressure ;-)

Im sure England will find a saffer not getting at shot at international level

I love it when the world gets turned upside down :-)

I'm waiting for when you post a pic of your receipt for paying an eToll account. Then I know it's game over.

And Phil is gone.

Big Vern did well - showing the top order how it is done. We will do well to get on par with them and are going to have to bowl out of our skins to win this game as I doubt we will be able to get 250/300 in the 4th innings

Well, the Indians wrapped that up rather smartly. If they get anything over two hundred, it's gonna take a lot of getting for SA batting last.

This is what makes Test match cricket amazing. World's top two teams toe to toe. Shame on the BCCI for their petty dog in the manger bull****. Pretty sure all 22 are enjoying this
