Almost time for South Africa "A" to take on South Africa "B"

Who will take the extra place now that Boucher is home? I hope they go with Lopsy and take on the "B" team with four specialist seamers.

303*. Well done. I wonder if he's observing Ramadan? Remarkable achievement if he is?

His been known to fast in the past regardless of matches/training but apparently this time he is not. Had the discussion with someone yesterday who told me of confirmation that he and Tahir will not be fasting on match days.

I heard Amla speaking once of a test in Durban where the humidity was around 80% and he batted nearly all day with a dehydration headache thinking: "When am I gonna get out!"

The guy is a legend!

What an incredible player. I remember when he entered the SA team, he still had his double back swing and I thought he would go nowhere. How well he has adjusted and grown into a fantastic player.

I really hope our bowlers can roll out the remaining 6 wickets quickets. Especially after English said they lacked penetration after day 1. How beautifully the tables have turned.

"....Amla (29) is a devout Muslim and although it is the holy month of Ramadan, he said he will observe the fast when he returns home to Durban....."

From one of the english rags...

ug, that is so frikken old now. saw on twitter someone comparing it to a knock knock joke!

thing is, both strauss and prior left in junior school....pretty damn british now.

Trott played for wp and county cricket for a few seasons after school, but moved permanantly once his folks emigrated. Apparently he prefers birmingham to cape town now, so i think he's gone fully to the dark side.

As for KingP035. I can't believe they let him play for natal two seasons ago to get his confidence back. I think less of him than wiggins does the cycling public, but unfortuanetly his average is impressive(if only a bit behind his ego).

what was quite interesting is that the standout performance on the english circuit this weekend came from craig kieswetter - current england T20 keeper/batsman. scored 150 in the four day match to win, and then followed it up next day with another hundred in the onde day series. and yip, he's got a matric from that school that herschelle went to.
