Windies need some magic here as these two are seeing it like a soccer ball

Very disappointed by the Windies attitude in the field.

It looks like they have just shown up to get their match fee.

Its a old thing with the windies, they are a momentum side. When things is going their way and they build momentum they are a very good side, but as soon as they struggle a bit (amla and ab partnership) they become flat and demotivated. They waited for amla or ab to make a mistake yesterday rather than to try and take a wicket

I think its easy to think that 'its not your day' when you lose your best bowler, a ball rattles the stumps, but they stay on and you miss a solid run-out chance. We could easily have been 300/6 at the close. A couple of quick wickets early on will lift them. We have to be circumspect for the first hour or so and if we manage to not lose more than 2 wickets, look to take the game away from them. I am looking forward to see van Zyl bat. I watched a few SS 4 day games last year at Newlands and the guy oozed class.

Another session belongs to SA. Well played van Zyl with an unbeaten 51. West Indies will struggle with 2 specialist bowlers now seemingly out of action. Its still too early to talk about declarations, but one would think that our bowlers would like to have 20 odd overs at the West Indies tonight.
