I spoke to soon it seems, what a 2nd innings collapse! If Duminy was still bowling you could sort of justify his selection. But a 50 once every blue moon just isn't good enough. I wouldn't let AB keep, his back won't last, and Quinny is a very good keeper. Seems to be young and fit enough to keep and open the batting.

Only person who scored a fifty in both our innings was QdK so technically all the other half centurions from the first innings also failed. It was a weird pitch. Difficult to bat on. Remember that New Zealand struggled to get runs on it themselves.

All that said, it was a good game and I am happy we won!

South Africa going nicely. 192/1. QdK gone for 82. Bavuma has played well for his 90* and has a really good shot at a hundred on debut. Also a lekker record for QdK and Bavuma for the highest opening partnership at Willowmore park. Looking at a 300+ score!

Some good cricket on 202 this evening. Rossouw with a quick 63 off 45 balls, Quinny getting to his 11th ODI hundred and Phehlukwayo taking 4 wickets. Proteas in cruise mode at the moment.

Convincing knock...didn't see it because we were out..but reports say it was masterclass

Incredible knock by QdK. Absolutely brilliant. He and RR took the stuffing out of the Aussies. Take nothing away from Phehlukwayo's bowling. His bowling helped contain the Aussies to below 300 and helped swing the momentum in our favor.

Ja the youngsters stood up nicely last night! Phehlukwayo has a bright future ahead of him.

Yesterday's action was in many ways even better than the first ODI. We lost the toss, got sent in to bat, and then proceeded to put a very respectable total on the board. Then when we took the field for the Aussie innings we simply smashed them. It was another splendid 11 man performance. And remember that we did not have AB available, and Hash was given an extra few days to recover too.

I wonder if they will now bring Hash into the side. Who do they drop?
