So, three years ago Faf didn't contest the charge of ball tampering, but this time he has pleaded not guilty.

Du Plessis has pleaded not guilty and the ICC is yet to confirm when he will appear before match referee Andy Pycroft to plead his case.

ICC chief executive David Richardson laid the charge on Friday, alleging du Plessis had breached the rules by changing the condition of the ball in the second Test against Australia in Hobart.

South Africa ripped through Australia’s batting in both innings, dismissing them for 85 and 161.

“The alleged incident happened on Tuesday morning when TV footage appeared to show du Plessis applying saliva and residue from a mint or sweet – an artificial substance – to the ball in an attempt to change its condition,” the ICC said in a statement.

“All level two breaches carry an imposition of a fine between 50% to 100% of the applicable match fee and/or up to two suspension points, and three or four demerit points.”

Ok so in defense of Faf. 9/10 players chew gum whilst on the field (which really annoys me). So if you're chewing gum are you not allowed to "work" the ball? That's probably what he's going to argue, he just happened to be chewing gum and wasn't intentionally rubbing gum on the ball.

BUT the video footage does not help his case. The way he works his finger in and out with the gum stuck on his tongue does not look good.. The fact that he's been guilty of ball tampering before won't help either. Will be flippen interesting to see the outcome of this investigation!

India vs Eng

So England get through to lunch with just one wicket lost, but considering the match situation the fact that they lost one wicket makes it India's session. This pitch will offer more turn in the second session, and India will also have a new ball at their disposal. Despite such good batting from Stokes and Bairstow, India still have 264 in bank.

Exactly your last part. I also believe that this all is horse manure, but the manner in which he did it, and his past offences. Stupid.

Ban him for 5 games for being an idiot.
