Second fiver in a row. Handy player. Nice to see that Morne was in among the wickets as well!

Scored a very useful 40 coming in for the 10th wicket

Yip aware of it. Morkel definitely capable with the bat but I think that I am far more pleased with his bowling contribution. His aggression and steeple bounce gives our bowling a dimension it has been lacking the last little while. Hopefully we will be seeing him in the green clothing soon enough.

He's been out for a while

It was possible that he may never return

Kudos to the rehab team

Good grief, I come back from the ride, thinking I'm going to watch a bit of leather on willow...

Great showing by the boys!!

they asked for extra 8 overs as victory was likely

then Hash was fierce and took it to victory

Sri Lanka 338 & 319

Bangladesh 467 & 191/6

Bangladesh won by 4 wickets

I think that is Bangladesh's first test win away from home against a big team.

Damn!!!!!!

Yip it's the first away win against a team not called Zimbabwe or West Indies. Happy for the Bangladeshis they have worked hard for this moment! And then to top it off it comes in their 100th test!

Fantastic ????????

I am hoping this leads to more regular test matches, home and away. They really have become a decent, competitive team!

They thrive in spinning conditions

It's away games with variable surfaces that makes it tough for them to compete.

More away games will see them improve that. Thing is that I don't see them being as weak as the current Sri Lankan team in foreign conditions. In fact if you look at how well Bangladesh did in the 2015 CWC in Australia it's clear that they will/can be competitive in such conditions. That however doesn't mean that they'll suddenly begin winning series but that they won't just simply be walked over, i.e. no easy/soft wins against them.

Edit: Bangladesh lost a two match series against New Zealand in New Zealand in January. Their first innings totals in both matches were good. In fact in the first test Bangladesh posted a total of almost 600 after recovering from a wonky start. Al Hasan scored a double century in that match and with it his country's highest individual score. In contrast Sri Lanka struggled to get anything over 200 in the test matches against us.

Awesome we won, but the pitch did no one any favors. A pitch that has a result in 3 days means someone did not think it through, or bowling/batting was up to nuggets. Great bowling to get 6 wickets in an innings (even on day 3). pitch had too much movement o flash at anything outside off. Wonder how secure Cook is feeling, at least he got to double figures in the last innings.....
