Well played SA! I think we are well on top at this stage courtesy of some valuable runs by the tail. Even with Sunday looking like a rain affected day (we need rain!) the match is progressing well enough to get a result by Monday evening.

Pujara

What an innings

My favourite nr3 alongside The Mighty #

The Vern strikes

And barely smiles

He just chews on his Stimorol

81/5

Gutted for Pandya. He showed some spunk. Now lets end this quickly and put some runs on the board.

Healthy lead after 12/3 within 18 balls on day 1

The Proteas will be irritated but relieved

Importantly, Big Eyes Steyntjie is out with a bruised heel. ????

Whilst he has served us well. Much like Alan Donald, we cant afford to carry injury prone players.

Maybe time to pull the plug on a superb career?

Bruised heel is like getting in the saddle after a few months break

Hurts like hell and then the boom-boom gets broken in again

Let’s see where this goes

Interesting times for The Steyn Remover

Yes the time has come.

So we are without one of our strike bowlers ....again.

Why he was selected to play in the first place beats me.

After the uneven contest of the Ashes...

Wow [emoji967][emoji91][emoji91][emoji91]

Hardik Panday made sure there's at least a match happening. It was literally his day yesterday - brilliant knock and decent wickets too. That said I wasn't all that surprised too see the Indians struggling on a good wicket against a fired up attack. Still think that their tours to us, England and Aus will show if they are the real deal or not. But, and it's a big but, they do have the players to do well on those tours. For the Indians the emergence of Panday is a good good thing as he brings much needed balance in 'Western' conditions.
