The problem is, it wont go away. Ball Tampering, Match Fixing etc has been going on for a very very long time, and unfortunately people love money to much to make it stop.

True but hopefully harsher penalties will make some think twice.

Its one thing to fart in a full elevator at the office on Monday morning, its another to take a **** on the boardroom table with a directors meeting in progress.

I do love the way everybody gets caught cheating the very absolutely completely definitely first time they cheat...

And they will never ever ever do it again..

Let's hope the Aussies get moered with a mother of a fine. This behaviour is simply not on and should get punished harshly.

Imho the entire bowling unit, the fielder caught doing the scratching and the captain of the team should all get fines and demerit points with the captain copping a suspension. On field punishment should be 15 runs rather than 5 and that the next dismissal is overturned in favour of the batting team.

No Bru. F... that ('scuse my language)...

This is what should happen: (bearing in mind that our esteemed Capt Faf du Pleases have been found out on this already...)

1. Immediate 100 runs to opposing team.

2. Player and captain: 2 Season ban - what is the difference between this and match fixing?

3. Coach. Life long ban from any cricket. Do not attempt to tell me either capt or coach did not have any knowledge about most junior member of team doing this. (Lehmann's chat on radio is soooooo obvious...- he is the f..cker...)

Edit: And he is the muck that gorrel'ed his mouth about SA fans' behaviour at Newlines - go check what The Gentle Giant (Morne Morkel) had to say about the flack he copped in Aus....

No. ***. Horse manure. It's time these frikkin Aus "con's" get fed what they so very much love to dish out at every opportunity.

F....in' bunch of whoosies...

(And I'm really trying not to swear/cuss that much...    :cursing:  :cursing:  :cursing:  :cursing:  Frikkin mother....'s)

So in other news, England can actually draw the test against NZ thanks to the rain. After 58 all out, they are going to be very very lucky.

I actually wish it could rain in Cape Town for the rest of the weekend. Let rain wash this test match out.

Why though? Despite this and that knob that chirped in the stands.. The proteas have won every session except one.. They deserve the win Edited by Stretch

Language excused.

Agree harsh penalties is needed but bans? Not entirely sure that's the answer either. I'd be happy if there were stricter rules and a better policing of it and yes the ICC should definitely need to take a good look at themselves regarding how disciplinary issues are handled especially since it does appear that certain sides (Aus, England & India) seem to get off being punished for poor behaviour.

I hear what you say.

But it's exactly the same in SA... if you know nothing/the minimum/zilch is going to happen, you'll take the chance.

But if you know you're going to cop a 2 year ban from all (paying) cricket... maybe you'll think twice as to pull a ridiculous stunt on internet tv as today's dimwit.
