Does anyone know how much import duties are if you buy a watch from Oversea's.

Saw a very nice Victorinox watch for R7000 in Sandton but on Amazon the exact same watch is $300.

I just went through the exercise, you only pay VAT on watches.

What made you choose a Steinhart?

A couple of things really. Firstly the ETA movement is well known and can be serviced by any good watch maker. I also spent quite a bit of time over at the watchuseek forum going over the workmanship they put into their watches. And now actually wearing it I am not disappointed at all. I am also getting their ocean 1 as soon as stock is available. There are actually a few watches around with a similar price point if you are prepared to shop around, but I felt that this was the best value for money, I also liked how easy it was to order since you can buy directly from them.

You are right about the best value for money.
