Question for the peeps who has done a couple: For a team of 4; what have you found is the optimum way of splitting up the riding. It seems as if doing an hour at a time is too little riding to get into it but doing two hours at a time will have each member have a 6 hour wait between rides. How have you done this in the past?

My only team event I ever did was in a 4 man team around 12 years ago, so I am hoping this help.

Two laps per rider is great, it gives time for rest and time to eat.

At night you might use one or two riders to do more than the required laps but never more than two, they will get bored out of their skulls and the lap times are slower at night.

I am quite keen to do this but how does it work? Say if I was to do it SOLO?

Best to team up with other solo riders to keep you company.

My main reason for entering solo is to be able to ride with friends during the 24 hours. Helps if you have company.

You guys make it seem like quite the experience, so what's more worthwhile; Solo or 2 man?

EDIT: can't say that I'll know anybody beforehand if solo but where's the fun in that?biggrin.png

I think Solo done properly could make eina.

Rather enter as two solo entries, then you can ride together. Two man team, alternating will be lonely for both. I'd say either solo, or 4 man (one on bike, one sleeping, two awake setup - or one riding & 3 partying!)

I think the fitness is there but this long endurance, does seem eina. Anybody know the length of each lap and the most ever ridden solo?
