Also did my first 50 (well in 15 years) this week. 90% offroad. Does it still count as a 50 if 17 km was downhill? Or is that just called good planning?

yeah, and why is this in "Commuting"?

Ah!

THAT I did not notice. But then that is not my job. :D

Commuting 50km in 3hrs, it was either a very long hill, or his boss is going to fire him for being late.

Um , am I the only one going: "50km in 3 hours? Did you have five punctures and walk the last 10km?"

Sorry to hear you feel superior for some reason and feel a need to try and belittle newer cyclist.

Regardless of whether you did it in 2 hours or 3 hours - well done for doing it. It's 50km more than what I did today!

Nice one. Just dont stop.

It wont get easier. But you will go or be going further ... faster.

If I can suggest, try and get in with a group. You will learn to cycle at a faster pace. I found that when I was cycling by my self, you get a comfort pace and dont push / challenge yourself.

But other than that, well done.

MMMM impressive. My first MTB race was a 25km .... And I finished that in 2h58 (I think) and yes..... I walked a lot.
