You became the teamleader when you started training more than me....

not to worry, my sheer will not to let you down will see me through to the end ;-)

Aha if thats me then, lets make a well known phrase or saying using the words "blind" and "leading".

Otherwise, I see the weather forecast has improved. Temps now 6 - 17; wind has changed from West to North, so still not bad; and only predicted to rain again on Weds after today and thats just a couple of mms.

Hierdie is n quote van hulle website:

Route Recce 4 August 2012:

Plenty of speculation is doing the rounds on which route the ASG Trans Baviaans will follow this year. Well, after visiting the Baviaanskloof this past weekend we can now officially declare the following: The route through the Baviaanskloof is perfect. Deepest river crossing is just below knee high and if the Willowmore/Joubertina area does not receive 80mm or more rainfall in a single incident (24 hour period) then the river levels will not be affected. In summary, the 2012 ASG Trans Baviaans will follow the original route through the Baviaanskloof. The finish venue in Jeffreys Bay has moved to the Jeffreys Bay Primary school sports grounds as Kabeljouws Holiday Resort has closed down. See you there!!

:whistling:

The Wind Guru said that we have clear skies for the start in Willowmore slight NW of 4knots and same for the Baviaans with no cloud cover. Also no real threat of rain in the week leading up to the race, lets hope the Guru weather report holds....

I'm more scared of near sub-zero temperatures than the water levels. Last year was MOER cold.

Think the start will be chilly (4) and warm up nicely through the day. Don't think it will be as cold as last year.

Nounet met die Drinkwaterskloof Ranger station gepraat en hulle het aangedui dat deurgang deur die Kloof gesluit is vir verkeer op hierdie stadium agv te hoë watervlakke. Hulle verwag egter dat dit beter sal wees in so 2 of 3 dae.

Hoop daai water loop teen 'n spoed daar weg!

Sien julle Saterdag, come hell or "High Water".
