What's a good time for this section, we did a mid 40's in that video, how does that compare?

that is good judging from the vid.. Never timed it, but has me wondering... I'll know tomorrow.

that clicking noise is mostly from the quick release clip because of the little play it has even when clipped in. GoPro acknowledges this by including a little rubber 'shim' that you place into the quick release once the cam is clipped in. It's hardly mentioned, and sometimes referred to as the Rubber Quick Release Stopper Lock (mouthful!), but that's it's purpose: vibration damping and comes standard in the grab bag of mounting accessories.

It's the white clip with an attached ring (quick release/ vibration plug) in the following image:

Where do u put that white piece Cap

that piece mounts from the top once you've clipped the cam in. you'll see once u try. it just wedges in very snuggly. stops that annoying rattling noise dead. The ring goes on the screw head end of the locking screws, not the nut end.

The wedge was introduced almost specifically for anti-rattling purposes. Lots of riders complained about the that rattling noise.

then it's probably a case of clearances in the housing, or the button as someone else suggested. I'm a bit skeptical of the button situation as mine is bloody hard to press as it is, so I'm more convinced it's clearance issue with the housing, one that only shows up under riding conditions. Cam body just needs to be wedged in a bit more solidly.

But mine doesnt rattle when it's on the bar mount, only when riding clipped in (another argument for riding with flat shoes  :P )

Oh. Come. on. Does the flatness-love never end?!

Tmstiles, we're going to be sessioning there later this afternoon, will report on times!

Will report times as well going there soon

I lost rear wheel action on my last outing, so no time from me yet. Was hoping to get out there at 4:30 but chances are looking slim.. Maybe I'll just head out to Roots for some action.. I guess you guys are already out there, right?

it's the button. I explored all other options. OP, try my suggestion and let us know the outcome.

Was hot today, did some of the tracks a couple of times. We (Leet) managed to improve our times on downhill 2, i have had a 24 sec last year, but that was when the trail was better. Did a 30sec today which felt quite good, but i am sure i can knock a few seconds off that as i relearn the trail.

My roots was a disaster today, first run i aborted just before the jump, thought i had a flat, i was wrong. 2nd attempt decided to try the jump for the first time, came in skew and made it but almost didnt make the berm. Then on the sharp left and down at the tree, i got confused when a tree stump i dont remember being there jumped into the middle of the trail, went the high side of it and ended falling of the side of the trail on the exit, still made a 50 sec. So i reckon we should be able to get it into the high 30's with a bit more practise.

Good day's riding, but damn someone needs to switch the aircon on up there :)

Affirmative, high 30s is entirely possible. I did a 39.5 today (entry lip to touching the bridge) at a fair pace, will try to convert and upload the video at some point!
