I've also run 11 Comrades..fortunately only one over 9 hrs!

maybe we can hook up for a lap around SBR. &to all the others doing TK, come &join us!

There you have gone and blown your credibility !

As you know, everybody who finishes their first Comrades says "never again".

Some of us are honourable men, who stick to their word, others are tempted by the one-up-one-down phenomenon and before you know it, they have done 11 !!!

Check you PM .

How did everyone go?

I saw Sylvester going like a Boeing up Ouberg pass after going through a bad patch at about 150 kays.

I loved my ride and am definitely entering the down run next year.

Four of us have entered solo yesterday, and need some advice on what training to do in the three remaining months. I have a few 50k's under the belt, but not a single hundred as yet. Ouberg seems a daunting prospect at the moment - any advice from Trans Baviaaners or others?

hey bud

you need to get a plan together ,,fast . firstly you need to get some base in zone 2 and 3 training .build it up over the next 2,5 months, you should be able to complete 200 km. get some hills in depends where you stay and if you have strava and a garmin try and get some steady climbing in.build up to 2,5-3,5km a week. last 2 weeks add some pace to your work out last 3 days prior to even rest up,in any case if you not prepared by then expect to pay for it in the race, good luck .ahh yeah dont forget to experiment with your calorie intake on the rides ,in some longer rides you body can react differently over time so you may want to play with carbs and proteins before race day.
