Official time for me, 2:53:08. Both my Polar and Endomondo gave me just over 2:51 (started as we got the "gun", stopped at the timing mat, or just after it). Where do they get an extra two minutes from?http://1.1.1.1/bmi/www.thehubsa.co.za/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/angry.png http://1.1.1.2/bmi/www.thehubsa.co.za/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/huh.png

Yeah!!! We passed you seating at the Kayamandi bridge. I supposed, you hadn't fixed your tyre yet by then.

Hey!! I still like that take-off ferocity.

I was sitting there after the second tube did not work... Sat chatting to mate until I got a friend to throw me a bomb and tube.

Mine from H group was also 2 min more than my Garmin!

I smell a rat. Was also in H.

My mate in E has a perfect time to the Garmin. So I suspect they have forgotten the "Stars" or that they concatenated F-G and there have us two minutes further back on the start time.

Do you think it is worth querying it?

My time is also 2 minutes longer than garmin, and also started with gun and when finally crossed mat, Also in H... That rat smell is getting stronger!! Garmin says 2:39:27, Racetec 2:42:15

I just downloaded my Garmin and it was 2:50.01. the two minute difference to 2:52 is about 75 places (give or take). But until I can hang with the fast lads up Hels, I couldn't be bothered to query - it's not gonna make any difference if I get a better seeding, I'll just get dropped quicker! :)

More curious about the amazing times in J and later groups.... speed demons!!

Posted

Also saw that there is some amazing times there. "I" only caught me about 100m from finish (although I did see an "I" rider in our bunch on the section leading up to the R44, wonder where ha came from.)

The first 3 results in J is definitely incorrect. I suspect that the lady who is fourth on the results might've gone over the timing mats at the start with the group behind and started with J.

I started in F-G and started my polar 30s before and stopped it after had crossed the mats by about 50m and got 2:40 (racetec gives 2:42?)

Rising Star riding finishing on Page 1 of Racetec results in 2:24.

9 mins before 2nd spot.

Thor Hushovd-like effort?

:excl:

the racetec guys let a couple of guys through to their groups after the following groups had crossed the mats ????

And explain this to me, we caught the stars and yet their times show 2:43 and ours 2:42 when we started 5 mins after them???

Started in A-D, lost the front guys up hels. We then formed a great bunch trying to chase the front A-D group. 80km later we caught them in Stellenbosch!

Just had enough energy to stay with the sprint, and happy with 2h32. It was HARD work.

Zac, nice chatting to you at the end - well done my boy.

Wannabe: jammer ek't jou gemis - het nogal vir jou uitgekyk!

See you guys at Bay City!
