Alberts had a cracker of a game! Hougaard was a bit k#k imo.

But fair start

Ja, all in all pretty good. Biggest concern I would say is Steyns poor goal kicking. If he doesn't improve that could bite us in the arse.

The Baby Boks, after trailing 3-0 against the English, in a forgettable 1st half, comes out with pride and passion...

Baby Boks to play Argentina in semi-finals.

Wow!

What a characterful comeback by the hosts.

Glad to see that Cape Town Stadium was utilized for top-flight rugby.

Gotta feel for the Irish after they dominated the All Blacks in NZ yesterday.

Even the All Black coach said that the better team on the day L O S T.

Test series won, but some testing moments in the 2nd half with some key injuries in the front row.

Go, Bokke!

Some comment:

1st half was good, structured test rugby. It was a great half.

2nd half some things in combination made them play more aerage:

1. They played a more loose open style. One could understand it because they felt comfortable with the lead and wanted to score more tried - I dont think they went defensive, but rather overly offensive. The end result was that England got more ball from us committing less fwds in rucks, kicking more speculative kicks and attempting lots of 50/50 off-loads. We opened the door for them.

2. Cohesion was disrupted by injury substitutions. Hougardt could have stayed at 9, with Frans 15 & Olivier 12. Front row plus locks did not work, either. Imo a tired front row would have worked better than a malfunctioning one.

3. M Steyn is a weak link. Last week it was mostly his place-kicking, but this time round it was that, and some poor tactical kicks and options. Time to test an alternative.

Baby Boks in charge over Argentina at a wet Newlands.

Most likely facing New Zealand in their first final.

Funny chirp on News24 as Frans Steyn is out of the PE test as it is his wedding day:

"Invite Olivier and Kirchner to your wedding, please..."

Sommer add the other Steyn also to the invites please. They must be family in some odd historical way. :whistling:
