boyes drive is relatively flat... its not a big climb by any stretch of the imagination. and on the map you can clearly see we go along boyes drive

last years subvets avg speed from the bottom of boyes drive up until the highest point (no downhill) was 32.4km / hr. does that sound like the kind of speed you do up a major climb?

It would be brilliant - but think it is wishful thinking!

 

Probably is - but i would have thought that the organisers would cut that out as soon as the alternative was ready. Comming off Boyes Drive down to the coast road is always a bit hairey?

Youre right Fandacious, i guess it always feels tougher than you think when that's where the front 5 broke away from the rest of the G group last year.

Have a look at the Cycle Tour Website. They have a route map and route profile that is quite accurate.
