If you have a carbon fork use cable ties and mount it at the bottom of the fork just above the static side of the quick release. Use some 2 sided tape to ensure no rubbing.

Where you based? I use the strap (but am considering strapping to to my chain stay - carbon = non-metal).

Can donate the mount if you are in the cape - more s/west, stellies, paarl, wellington area. Or can leave it with a friend that can get it to you.

I used the mount on sunday race and it did not pickup the time when I crossed the finish mats.

Read in the Cycle Mag that the chip must not be horizontal, and mine was more or less, so if you use the mount point it vertically down.

Cool!

Ive known too many people to loose their chips with those mounts, get a peace of 3m film wrap it around your shock where the chip is going to go, and cable tie the little bastid, mine been there for 2 years now, and the best part I never forget it at home when i go to a race.

Horizontal? Never ever seen someone mount a racetech chip horizontally.

Like he said, it must NOT be horizontal.

I use the velcro strap that is supplied with it. If you fix it to the MTB, then you have to buy another one for the road bike.....

So what the problem is? I have a chip on each bike, cabletied to the fork. Easy!
