Anybody from B know what the story was with Team Norway?

Wow yes, would love to know the story. Everytime I looked ahead Team Norway was setting the pace. Had to personally thank them at the end.

(Well, I guess they were just repaying the favour - as one of them asked me at the start, "Are these blue things the toilets?" Very good!)

Thanks. Got left Behind in Simons Town.

Made it by the skin of my teeth 02h:59.10 A bunch.

Punctured at the top of chappies. Popped another tube in and at the top of suikerbossie the time was 02h:35 so I knew I had a slight chance to make it. Two guys crashed in the last km's right in front of me and I managed to duck that so pretty chuffed overall.

Feel sorry for the guys who crashed though hope they are okay.

Think I'll cherish this sub 3 the most as I had to work for it after the bad luck of the puncture...

Nice chatting to you FRAIL - you were low level flying down the Blue Route!

Glad you made IT!

Blue Route is Easy, yes I did Burn some Matches Closing them Gaps.

Blue Route was much slower this year on the tandems, allowing the group to rebunch. Got dropped on Smitswinkel, meaning a hard ride back and squeezed in at 2:59:07...

Thanks Spark for the kind words, Traut - the specialised had no chance againts the hardtail OTEC. 2h52....not bad, 11kg mtb with 2x fast traks and 39 x11 gear ratio, max speed 68, cadence max 126. thanks to the odd push and the kind words of encouragement and respect at the end...just 1 oke bitched " What the f###k r u doing in the bunch" turned round and smiled" to kick your arse" this was with 2km to go...i wasnt going to drop then!

Why people still sprint from 40th position i dont know, 1 guy fell onto my backwheel so hard the wheel got smacked out the lugs, the front skewer got undone and I jumped over the handelbars running on the tar,had i wore road shoes i would have skated twrds the finish!!! I pulled my bike from the masses i saw the arm of a fallen rider stuck btw my fork and wheel,to the elbo...i almost got sick thinking of what could have happened if it was on the rotor side... :excl: eish!!! :excl: I WATCHED an aerial movie off the crash...just bodies everywhere...thnk goodness i had nothing to do with crash, the rants would have been endless!!! :D

I salute you for doing that time on a mtb! I know that I passed Billy on Suikerbossie, but at that point I have already lost eye contact with you.

I joined the sub-10 minutes club at the bottom of hospital bend. Hitchhiked back to the start with Heimer and Clive Seebrechts, borrowed a wheel and smashed it home to Kalk Bay. Got going again with G group behind me and was catching the back of D when I got to my house. 47.3 km/h average for the Blue Route on Strava.com - fastest time from $ beat me by 30 seconds.

You as well! :cursing: A bud also punctured in the A bunch. He rode a lot on the left of the bunch near the front - JUWI jersey. Strong as an Ox this guy is.

He finished around the same time too. Well done on the Sub3

Might have joined up with him after changing my tube. When I got on my bike he chatted to me and told me to join the club as he also punctured.

I was riding in my NMMU Action cycles kit.

Just glad to finish under 3 hours as last year I started in VA and punctured 45km's into the race with my Zipp 404 tubbies.

Was a hell of a long day waiting for the sweeper vehicle :D

The very reason I dislike tubbies
