We decided go with ag for custom cycling shirts. We were extremely impressed with the way Joanita (ag) handled our order through the design phase up until manufacture. I raved about their service on the hub before.

Any ways, our kit finally arrived at ag head office. Received an email from Joanita informing us that the kits had arrived and to please pay the 50% outstanding balance. Joanita sent us a pic of the actual shirt to look at.

Unfortunately I picked up a small print error on the kit, nothing major. I informed Joanita about the error and she said she will look into it.

Within 10 minutes the phone rang and it was Joanita. She was apologetic and gave us a 50% discount. Quick quick, no long stories.

Thank you Joanita ag, that is one time world class service.

I mean come on.. Lets just say I would have been happy with arm warmers and a pair of socks.

YOU ROCK JOANITA!!!

I highly recommend ag, highly!

Logical - it gives them the easiest way out... you were suckered...

You should have demanded what you paid for, if it was their mistake, they should have ordered you the correct replacement goods... No matter how small the "print error was"....

Think about it, they would have had to pay for 2x sets, if we assume the 50% deposit covers their cost, then now at least they break even...

They offered to have the kit re-done, they would have had to pay for another set, and then you would have paid the final payment and ... again they break even...

In any case, they have lost nothing, you have a set of "custom" kit, which is faulty, if you demanded a reprint you would never have had it in time... you lost 2x... they lost nothing as they covered their cost...

You make a good point but at the end of the day it is about customer satisfaction and we are satisfied.

50% off 10 shirts is a good saving. And the error is hardly noticeably.

If we had a choice between 50% off current kit vs full price for new kit, current kit it is.

depends on the error.

ie, if your company name is spelled incorrectly or your details and contact information is wrong - big problem.

or alternatively, if the phone number is placed above the email address or vice versa but the info is still correct - no problem.

Mistakes happen - customer satisfaction is important.

I concur that's the easy way out of doing wrong to say Hey mr customer you know what we'll give u a discount just take the faulty stuff and go.

Bad ASG bad ASG or should I rather say clever ASG clever.

They still gain all the way nothing to loose. If your club can live with the error then cool for them. ASG knows from a customer's point of view to get a "discount" from their mistake the customer would gladly accept then to pay the full amount come on you just playing a good game by accepting the goods at a discounted price it's like buying a chinarello.

doing graphic design myself, you give the customer a sample to approve before you go ahead with job, didn't you get a sample? Maybe you should post us a pic of your erroneous shirt just a question.

ASG suckered you big time

I am sorry to sound like a wet nappy, but if you already went through all the trouble, effort, passion and have the desire/need for custom kit, you should get what exactly what you ordered/designed.

And you were fully expecting to pay the full price? it was in your budget? why is the discount so important now?

It's like going to a restaurant, ordering a gourmet cheese burger, and when they put it down infront of you, they say, "sorry no cheese today, but you can have it at half price"..... then why did you go though all the effort, might as well have stayed home and had curry and rice...??? At some stage you going to say, damn... I actually felt like a CHEESE burger....

Well, I can live without the cheese but it would be a different story if it were missing steak.

I have been dealing with Joanita of ag on a different matter (shoe spares) and she is an absolute asset to them. Repsonds to queries very quickly and has gone out of her way to help. Unfortunately I didn't come right but no fault of hers, the shoes are just too old :(

So if anyone has an old pair of the shoes (size 39-44) as in the picture I just need the 'bottom plates' to fit SPD-SL (Look type) cleats on ....

I have dealt with A(S)G before, and Joanita is a star!

I agree with one of the above posts, big deal, so what.

Customer is happy, A(S)G is happy so what's the big deal.

Valid points made, but come people cant we all just get along.

The big deal is that if you buy custom kit you should get what you ordered.

It is not a case of buying a mass-produced piece of general clothing that might have a misaligned stich or small hole or something...

We are talking custom design... here's another example for you...

If you go for a TATTOO and they spell your g/f's name wrong, are you going to be chuffed if they offer you a 50% discount?

No - you would freak the hell out, you wont go onto a forum and tell people you just got the the best service/deal of your LIFE????

Anywaz, im done with this thread.. i think i made my point..

The image below is the final design and what was signed off.

The circled logo is facing in the opposite direction on the final kit and that is the error.
