Love the trails at Kings! Tough, but a good 22km loop! There is no restaurant, you pay for your entrance at a little shop at the entrance!post-15722-0-06079000-1332768011.jpg

Went there last Wednesday. Black route is a good workout and technical. Route is well marked up to about 18km then the markers just vansihed (unless we missed something) Ended going down past a storeroom and down to the tarred road and the rode back to the start along it (about 2kms).

The 1st half is awesome, quite technical, which is what I love. But from when you cross onto another 'plot', it fizzles out, markings are also up to interpretation as at some points you have the same colour arrows pointing in 2 directions. Worst part is that there's a dual direction singletrack on a relatively technical slate section, a disaster if I come bombing it down there while somebody's climbing it. Place has huge potential if they did something with the R30 bux u pay to get in...

Its pretty safe WW! Saw a couple guys running there alone on Saturday! Although it makes no sense to me why you'd run if you have a bicycle :P

Ja ja you guys should give trailrunning a bash it's really awesome :)

I'm training for the Magalies Mayhem 3 day trail run at Van Gaalen's so need to get the miles in

I found this route quite tough going, more technical then groenkloof, 1st 10kms is quite a test, gets easier after that.

Don't be surprised if the the 1st 10kms takes you 45-50 minutes

I think so - we did black route

Oh - and no coffee shop.

There is a little pad stal (caravan) next to the parking area that sells a few refreshments and snacks.

No place to sit down or anything like that.

Route markers need some attention...............rode there last week for the 1st time and alone - not pleasant. The grass is as long as what you are tall on some sectionsso you can see nothing either way.... had no idea where i was twice, stripped my moer and left ater an hour..........
