Price is an issue but I order crc when our local chaps simply cannot get stock. Last order 2 weeks ago- now I wait with my spanner in hadh waiting to fit...

Years ago Amazon stopped using shipment through the PO and forced all South African buyers to use the courier option as a result of parcels going missing when using SAPO. I suppose there's blame to be cast both sides but the SA Post Office is just very unreliable, TO SAY THE LEAST!

Hi there

I had a similar issue:

Ordered some stuff, Royal Parcel force deliver in 8 working days, and different order, same shipping method, 4 and 1/2 weeks waiting!!!

I have found the following:

1. If it is a "bigger" order, in value and quantity, you receive a Royal Parcel Force tracking nr, YES, I can show you how and where.

2. Smaller orders, in my case a single Bottom Bracket, NO tracking and a LOOOONG wait.

So my philosophy is, order bigger value and quantities.

PS, not to big either, larger value than 5k and "bigger in volume (like a foot pump) will increase local fees.

Happy shopping

One bad order and all your savings are gone .Buy local!

Hogwash, CRC had to repost one of my orders 4 times due to it going missing in our lovely SA postal system, they had no problems doing it. Just mailed them order gone, and woot they mail you back saying order resent.

I am having major issues with our "online" providers not having stock.

This month alone, wanted Maxxis Ardents, been checking cwc and its listed on the site for months as out of stock.

Wanted XL santini's checked the sites only CWC had them,,, oh wait nope no stock,

Wanted to buy XT brakes, CWC has a double standard here, the item thats conveniantly out of stock is R2399 (silver XT) and the black ones they do have stock is R2999. Ok go to buycycle, and yay they have black and silver in stock at a decent price R2400 for a set but need want icetech rotors to go with the brake set, and oops either no stock or only 160mm in stock nobody has 180. Even though most 29'ers run 160/180 configurations.

Then decided I want to put an 11-36 cassette on the bike, my drivetrain is SRAM so go to CWC click on the 10spd XG link and geuss what ... no @#$ing stock.

ok so go to CRC

Ardents oooh in stock

XT with ice tech rotors 160/180mm in stock

Santini XL in stock

XG cassette 11-36 in stock

ORDER PLACED!!! problem solved.
