I used to like Golf, not anymore. Fees went through the roof as more and more development on previously public courses were allowed. Now it is just a showing off of your money.

What's the point of having a sport so you can get some exercise in but the players are driving around in carts. On some courses you are not even allowed to walk anymore to speed up the groups so they can squeeze in more groups per day.

i still enjoy golf - but only get to play it on golf days and the likes. would rather be riding my bike than spending 5 hrs on the golf course. always been like that

Love taking my two year old to the range on a sunday and watching him moer the balls.

I play once a week, with a lesson once a week followed by range time as well.

But i only ride bike once a week with the family.

Besides, with MTB you have to do some exercise, which I doubt some of those businessmen will be into. But then some of the top MTBs are quite expensive which opens an avenue to show off your riches.

There milar topic in one of the big cycling magazines about a year ago. Mountain biking seems to get some nice traction in the Corporate environment. The amount of corporate entries at this year's Epic provides a big clue to this.
