haha, ya I know!

I want something that is light and fast.

Preferably not Schwalbe as i have had far too mant side wall cuts.

I'm running an Onza Canis 26x2.00 at the rear and want something with slightly more grip in the front.

Ranga: side wall cuts on Schwalbe snakeskin evo's? seriously? i highly doubt that. I've had all my sidewall destruction thanks to Maxxis. Not dissing them, but I prefer Schwalbe for sidewall protection any day over anything maxxis has to offer.

Will be honest, havent tried the snakeskin version!

Will do some research.

I was running the EVO TL ready tyres.

No get the Ikon Exo. Schwables wear out too quickly.

wear out too quickly? what model schwalbe u referring to, and based on your experiences, which tire wore out so quick?

Ikon in 29" format is amazingly amazing!

Current setup Rocket Ron Evo TL ready front, Ikon EXC back.

Ikon gives a more plusher ride opposed to a Racing Ralph at the back.

They dont like them tar

*giggles*.. but u have a point :P

Mountain bikers with knobblies on tar.... giggles indeed

Nearly as bad as a running buddie who WANTS(as in not-negotiable) to buy a dual suspension mountain bike, and then fit slicks to ride on the road...

*shudders*

Tar is 8+ bar, thin wheels, skinny saddles and rigid forks (and chainstays) territory!!!

In other words: tar is a whole different world of HTFU! :whistling:

Back to topic, I'm running Maxxis UST Crossmarks on the MTBs and had a sidewall cut during the 94.7 MTB event.

I'm new to the UST/tubeless world, so I'm quite interested to find out more about the wearing out (on tar! , and other MTB surfaces?) & better sidewall protection of the different makes etc

Has anyone seen 26x2.1 Ikons around?

Think I will give them a try

You gonna struggle to get hold of Ikons 26". The Racing Ralph snakeskin is also a good tyre for the front, it will last a bit longer.
