If a complete stranger doesn't acknowledge you or greet back, so what.People ride as much to be in their own space as to be sociable. Saturday morning, I was riding to meet my training group, and I overtook some oke, moved way over, and he shouts at me like a loony that I'm supposed to greet him.******. Beer4Recovery Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 WTF? unless it is on one of those bike parks then hell yes. Reason i'm asking, i have been riding at Groenkloof for the last 4 years on most of the weekends. 2 a-holes were coming from the wrong direction on the trail, and I told them so. I would not repeat the reply I got, and was also told it's a "new" route. Funny, do these 2 a-holes always follow routes with the directional signage facing to the back of them???http://www.magnet-textures.com/textures/2011/4/339-560-1-rusted-back-of-sign-ico-big.jpg I have it you follow signs facing towards you showing the direction? RudoJ Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Yesterday I rode the Spruit for the first time with some new people I met through the Hub etc. It's such an awesome place to ride, it was very busy, for me at least. Some sections were full of runners, people with dogs and mountain bikiers in both directions. If you are unfit as me, huffing and puffing along, there isnt much time to greet or return any greetings dodging all the traffic. in the one section a single rider told our group (we were about 10-12?) "guys,please keep left" this was where there only was one track. Surely if u are by yourself and see a posse of 10 riders coming towards you, you will keep left and not expect them to? Other than that, had a great time and will be back for sure
