Can only imagine what people would think if they find a discarded condom full of baby powder....

Next to a dead tube?

.....and a dead GU?

I know. Damn trash mtbikers been through again!

Easier to eat when you get 'lost' in the great outdoors.

Must be.

This is the first I've heard of needing to keep tubes moist. But I've only been cycling for 23 odd years, so I'm still relatively new to the sport. I'll learn.

I wrap tube in plastic bag then slip into a sock, make sure that the valve is protected.

Never had an issue with holes in replacement tubes.

What's your method to retain moistness?

I don't do anything specific. :whistling:

Do you think these okes are using baby powder and some sort of wetting agent at the same time? Make like pollyfilla in your tubby bag...

Perhaps the idea is to mask the rubbery smell and make your hands smell nicer afterwards.

In an old(but washed...Swift01) sock, for two reasons...

1.Protects the tube...

2.You have rag to clean your hands with when you run into "messy" problems.

Well if all advice is taken one will need the rag to wipe up the "polyfiller" goo. I just don't know what passing cyclist would think i am up to though with a Sock, condom, Goo and a tube......

Baby powder makes sense, I have opened some tubes and they have poder on them, so i will stick with the sock and powder so as not to scare fellow cyclist

Heres to puncture free tubes for the next 10 years of cycling
