I am sorry... eeerrrrrrggggg!!!!

My whole life I have always had to take side roads to work... now I take one road straight... along a major road... not sure of the exact terminology...

and since the bloody idiot started there-in Sunninghill/woodmead... it takes me 30minutes longer to get home!! on a 30 minute journey...

The cars on the major road are backed up to Gallo Manor-2km... and this moron lets 12 cars from the side road - empties the road... and then 12 cars from the major road!!!

Seriously... Just because the people who take the small road are staring at him... he lets them go... whilst we wait for ages...

if I take all minor roads now... and go through woodmead and take this little side road... I cut 15 minutes off my route...

Now does this not defeat the whole point of major roads and minor roads...

Am I alone on this point?

so like contact the sponsors and give them constructive feedback rather than pissing in public forums. in general the outsurance guys/gals do a great job but logically they wont get it right all the time. i think we all underestimate the complexities of traffic control, at least i think they do miles better than the metro choppies.the outsurance pointmen/ladies its a constructive and positive effort so try and reciprocate. tx and bi

NIce comment dude...

yes I agree with you... but the point of a rant is to do just that... because I know I am a little intense-to say the least- I wanted general feedback... hence the question...

I've always found them friendly and trying to do a good job.

<RANT>

Better than the lazy Metro cop *****s who sit in their cars watching the traffic strangle and refusing to do anything because they're too ****ing important to actually do their ****ing jobs and direct traffic .

And that also goes for the useless JRA dumb@sses who obviously weren't getting enough kickbacks from the Pothole Brigade who were doing their jobs for them and fixing our roads so they cancelled their contract!!! Now our roads are falling apart again!!! Aaaarrgghhh!!!!

I travel the same road. I am sure you are talking about bowling avenue just before the crossing over the N1?

I dont think its the pointsmans fault, as I recall the backup carries on past him over the N1. I think the jam is caused by the traffic lights between bowling and witkoppen.

But i might be wrong, so will check when I travel there again....

Yeah, was going to mention the pothole guys. We need more companies willing to sponsor these initiatives.

My experience with them has always been positive, especially when the robots at the intersection of Woodlands Drive and Woodmead Drive is down. It always moves smoother when they are around.

Yeah, reading the replies, you most certainly are on your own...

Well the fact that that is the only Outsurance pointsman that I encounter... makes my experience of these guys - real bad..

I have taken the advice of

Tjokkits

and contacted Outsurance directly...

Thanx guys

At the corner of Village and Simmonds street there are pointsmen every second morning and the robot is in PERFECT working order. On the mornings that they are there I wait three times longer to get past.... I really cannot figure it out......

Sometimes I wonder if they are not placed at strategic intersections to be visible to make sure outsurance get maximum coverage.

Make no mistake it is a brilliant initiative but again why are they put at working robots???

Send the outsurance dude Randburg side,

Malibongwe and WilliamNicol/Main rd which are the 2 main routes North/South always have a traffic light out but we rarely see them.
