Hairy Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 It should be quite muddy thanks to the rain predicted for tonight and tomorrow, generally grabouw doesnt drain too well, so im pre-empting by installing new breakpads for this race, bit of mud can wear them down in hours. So the SS would be a logical option then for the ride (It is not a race )

My bike is dirty from last weeks ride still and ready to go for tomorrow ... well I will ride her home later and will know for sure if she is 100%

Hairy Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Cat ... don't worry RE the total ascent. I missed it last year, but I recall the climbing is at a decent gradient, not a silly gradient like riding up Table Mountain.

Musashi Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 The ascents aren't really that bad, just long. And the fast downhills make up for that. But that is mostly in the second half. The test in the first half is the technical terrain. I can't wait!
