Come stay at Chalet nantegue and the lift pass is half price :D

As for Giba... that is actually pretty decent considering the MTN Toyota PWC Bike park here is R50/day and doesn't offer very much.

But yeah... R100/day is a bargain when one considers what they have access to.

As for 16th March nige...

...maye you can be sneaky and do a Peach (ie. fly your wife out to Morzine and call it 'Honeymoon')

Haha. Good thinking. When I got married i told the wife we could go to Mauritius for a week or Bali for 2 but my boards come with.

My plan for next year is for the wife to come for 1 week and then i hit the bikeparks the week after.

It wouldnt be as sneaky as Peach as my chick would bring her Session 88 with too ..... sure she'd be keen as long as she had all the romantic flowery stuff too in the chalet .... and that costs ....

Bru. It's the Alps. It's one of the most beautiful places you could possibly hope to go to. Plus it only gets dark at 10 so you can ride during the day and do romantic stuff in the evening. Sundowner picnic at the top of an alp? She'll be telling her friends about that for years to come. Don't do one of those cliche indian ocean island things. that **** is just lame.

Just throw the idea out there and see what she says.

There we go.

Dude honestly there's riding for every level and taste. No need to get her skills up. All the trails are graded and well marked so she won't accidentally wander on to air voltage or anything silly like that. You will both have loads of riding to choose from. Just make sure both of you are aware of your limits. Of course the more skilled you are the more stuff there is for you to ride.

Les Gets opens early june. the main PDS area opens 28 June 2013. There's LOADS of accomodation options from 15 Euro a day grunge to prime time stuff.

You can even do day trips to Geneva.

April is way too early. there will still be snow on the ground in places.

Bit of advice. don't go with other people. JUST the 2 of you. Otherwise at some point you will get told that you used your honeymoon as an excuse to go riding with your mates. Also. Make it a dedicated thing. week 1 is honeymoon. Week 2 is riding. Don't do it the other way round. You don't want to break yourself before your honeymoon like someone else on this thread......

One more thing.

Do yourself a favour and price a 2 week trip to Thailand, The Kruger or Bali.

France if anything is cheaper.

Bru come with us. We are going mid to late July. We went early this year and it was a bit too early.

We stayed at Les voroches. (Les Vomits) and peach etc stayed at Chalet Nantegue. Tom Rood stayed at Rude chalets. I've got all the info you need to make it a sick trip so send me your email address and I'll send it to you.

Heads up.

The pleney lift IS being replaced at some point in the near future. Pleney is the main lift between Morzine and Les Gets. Dates have not been confirmed and it has also not been confirmed whether it will be down for the 2013 summer or whether the new lift will already be up and running.

Lot's of question marks there but the good news is that even if Les Gets is not easily accessible from Morzine there is a cable car (6 riders at a time) and there's also the viking hotel ski lift that they might open to aleviate the stress. There's also rumors of shuttles between the 2 towns. It's only about 4km between the 2 towns.

And then there's the whole of the rest of the PDS which is 8 mountains. You'll just have to plan a teeni bit better than normal.

My wife is an addiction counselor and we were last chatting last night about what makes an addict.

This is kind of what I got from the conversation in between watching the Fairclough segment of 3 minute gaps where he's riding Super Morzine.

An addict's brain starts releasing dopamine at the mere thought of using their drug.

One of the primary hallmarks of an addiction is it's negative effect on relationships and work.

Addicts hide elements of their addiction from their loved ones especially the scale and cost

She reckoned that their behavior is escalatory in nature

And anti social.

Addicts associate with other addicts primarily because their behavior is acceptable by the group.

At the end of the conversation I said so you are saying I'm addicted to Morzine. Her response was "YOU THINK?"
