Great thread guys. I am considering getting an On One SS too. Not sure if I missed it, but what % duties would there be on a frameset bundle? I've heard that 0% duties on components. Is that true? Thanks..

Good old V.A.T and if I recall 10% on the frame cost ..... I could be mistaken on the 10% though as I do not think they charge this.

Bring in a full build bike though and they will knock you about 40% tax and then the V.A.T.

Get a nice new smelling On One frame and post pics of the build

Thanks Hairy... seriously considering a 2013 Kona Unit given where the exchange rate is at. Looks like most guys on SS front have been through the same decison tree :)

The Unit looks like a nice bike, I have just not had the pleasure of riding on yet unfortunately.

Ping Flippa, he has one and seems very happy with it! I look at his tensioners with lustful eyes, better than the track ends on my On One.

CyclesPro in Cape Town are the agents and they get them in on an order by order basis, there is a VAT payment on frames and VAT and 15% duty on complete bikes but worth asking them for a price.

Sometimes they have stock, but not often. Delivery take 2-3 weeks regardless if you buy direct or with CyclesPro

It is just as quick, if not quicker, to go direct with On One and I have sent two clients his way before without him replying.

The only benefit I can see going with him is should you on the very unlikely instance have a warranty issue you would just have to send it to the UK yourself .. .they might even cover shipping.
