Fork Oil

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone from Pretoria can help me out here, I'm looking for a bike shop or other, that sells suspension or fork oil.

 

I've tried a few bike shops here in Pretoria North, and they either just sell kit and have no idea what i'm talking about or dont sell it?

 

So if anyone knows of a bike shop in the Pretoria North preferably or Pretoria that services motorbike forks and would be willing to sell me some, I'd really appreciate it

Depending on the weight just about all motorbike shops and the midas chain of shops should stock it.

I bought fork oil from Solomons in Pretoria east recently. I suspect the old Solomons in Pretoria north should also carry stock.

 

Typically 5wt required for most Rock Shox and 10wt required for Fox forks. Download the oil charts to be sure. The volume is also important.

I've tried the pretoria north branch only have the 5wt motorex, but am looking for 10w for like you said my fox fork.

 

and thank for the heads up on the volumes, have serviced my fork numerous times already, but still appreciate the thought.

Have you tried CTI or CIT or whatever they are called. There are two of them next to each other as you come off the N4 into Schoeman/Pretorius. They stock some oils.

Yamalube makes an awesome range - If you go to Pretoria Yamaha (in PTA North) you will be able to order some there - they also stock the full weight range, including a 7.5WT which is not that common. Here are the part numbers:

Ok I got some today at Honda bikes Zambezi, Its the Bel Ray fork oil and cost R125/L

 

its a nice green color as well, If anyone in the area might look for some in future

Got a bottle at Fourways Motorcycles during lunch. 5wt at R89 for 500ml or R129 for 1l.

 

Now to get those Manitous back to form. Rode without rebound damping on Saturday. Sucked big time.
