Is 150 Degree the optimal knee bend?

How does one get more power on hill climbs by adjusting bike fit (if possible)

How does one get more power on hill climbs

Slide a bit further back, or is it forward, on the saddle. Oh, and train more. Stop looking for a magic bullet in the form of a gel, or a shoe, or a "bike fit" to get you there. Spend some pennies in the saddle.

Correct bikefit .Front of knee inline with ball of foot exc!.Use thighs to push down and hamstring to pull up .If you dont train to pull up it wont happen.Do this a lot !!

While you are climbing, and your quads are straining, slide a little backwards on the saddle to use more of your glutes and hamstrings. This only works if your glutes and hammies are strong.

Also helps if you apply power to the pedals in circles and not squares. You can check this by riding with one leg (on a flat road or indoor trainer). If it is jerky then you aren't applying power smoothly throughout the pedalstroke. Concentrate on two things to smooth it out. Firstly, pretend you are scraping mud off the bottom of your shoe at the bottom of the stroke. Secondly, push your foot forward over the top of the pedalstroke. Just do this one legged riding for 5 minutes while cooling down after every ride for a few weeks will improve you riding considerably.

Thanks for all the advise

Train for longer than an hour if you want to loose weight. If you are training 2h or more replace protein after ride otherwise you wil loose muscle and become weaker.Do some gym work to rebuild muscle mass and strength
