Ok, so all the hype is coming from one dutch newspaper and everyone else are reporting based on their article. Has this been substantiated by any other source or are we only relying on this one newspaper report?

Seems for now no major agency has picked it up.

Comment from Jonathan Vaughters@Vaughters

Regarding the Dutch media report: No 6mos suspensions have been given to any member of Slipstream Sports. Today or at any future date.

Google search reflects only the Dutch report, odd how they would be the first. As far as reports of Hincappie testifying, this is nothing new, it has been claimed for months now.

I google translated the original story. Makes for funny reading.

Lets see if other major media publishers pick it up. If as the article suggest and they are testifying (even if Hincappie is the only one) then yup, that's it..bowled and caught for LA.

For sure.

Just saw this: Daniel Benson@dnlbenson

Vaughters denies he has been suspended. Asked if he testified, he walks away

…which is kinda stupid, considering Benson's website was quoting the De Telegraaf's story (translated) which suggested that the deals that had been cut would only kick in year-end, which sounds a bit doozy to me.

I just find it weird that it's a Dutch paper having the inside scoop on an American agency. It also doesn't make sense that USADA would allow riders to still compete now and only ban them next season. Makes no sense at all.

Yeah. was thinking about that too. Why not the WSJ or ESPN? Or even AP.

OK lets say Van de Velde, Zabriskie and Hincapie all admit.

What reason will they have to lie? They have just accepted a 6 month ban and gave up an Olympic spot to testify against LA.

THis has too mean it is true and they all doped (no surprises here).

Now we just need one of the doctors to come out and admit.

What about that french publication, "Ill Equipped" or something.

Agree, why should any cyclist want to give up his place on the Olympic team.

Cycling Weekly@cyclingweekly

J Vaughters just read a statement. Underlined teams committment to antidoping. Denied bans.

…followed by…

Jonathan Vaughters@Vaughters

@cyclingweekly and commitment to honesty.

Mr Riis is also committed to antidoping, and we know what he did in the past.
