The Ghost Posted June 26, 2012 Share A little while back now I entered, made my payment and confirmed online that everything appeared to be in order. However, I didnt receive any notification of such and mailed them to ask if I should expect any. They told me that once my payment was accepted I would get an e-mail confirmation.I waited and checked online again, and as before my payment has been accepted (and gone off my account) and mailed them again; now they just ignore me. This seems like seriously poor organisation for an event that they advertise so widely and claim as being the biggest and best (in JHB anyway). It seems they are great at blowing their own horn, but not actually doing anything for those who pay. I have seen much better organisation from far smaller events, and yes, Im

StevieL Posted June 26, 2012 Share How about giving them a ring instead of mailing? They probably have quite a busy inbox. Just saying. Edited June 26, 2012 by StevieL

Not even the automated response/and payment confirmation informing you that you are entered? I've just entered and got both of those immediately. Last year that was enough and I only heard from them again at seeding time!
Agteros Posted June 26, 2012 Share I entered the road event, received my e-mails, and it even shows on the racetec website that I entered. Oh, I can spell my own E-mail address too...

That is the way it is meant to work as far as I know for any of the events I have entered specifically 94.7 and Argus
scotty Posted June 26, 2012 Share Just a blip in the big picture, in any event of this magnitude somethings will fall through the cracks. As event organizer Tanya and her team have successfully moved this event from a non closed road race to full closure, not an easy feat in Johannesburg. Last year that was enough and I only heard from them again at seeding time! That is exactly what made me wonder, because it is unusual not to get something to confirm. Hi Esteni, Please give the Race Office a call on 011 017 2700 - we will need your details to look them up and investigate why you never received your email. This is often a simple query and can be solved quickly.
