If it was not for the great scenery and a few moments of inspirational riding would it still be interesting? The majority of the time its a bit like watching Ashwell Prince batting in a 5 day test Considering how many hours they show per day and the cost per minute for live TV i wonder how however pays for it all justifies the costs? I think that Prudhomme and company will look at how to improve the Tour as there is lots of feedback about the relative dullness of the Tour.For example, putting a CAT 1 climb like 40 kms before the finish can lead to a procession towards the end in the GC stakes. I think Evans is an average rider compared to the other GC conenders and was lucky last year and the reason it might seem boring this year is due to lack of contenders.
