I found this old chat and wondered if the Sufferfest users can help me out... From what you have used (still using) which videos would you say is worth while, and which are shyte?

I'm quite keen to get myself a video (1 to start with) check it out and then continue from there. Are these videos compatible with both rollers and a booster trainer? Does it give resitance indications on screen?

Thanks for the help

I have some old sufferfest vids and enjoy them. I would go for one of the newer vids if I were to buy one now.

On-screen you are given a cadence indication (e.g. 120rpm) and exertion indication (e.g. 8/10).

If you do these right, they hurt like hell but make you strong.

I just haven't gone through the trouble of aligning these to my structured training programme, but I'm sure you can do it.

ISLAGIATT (everything)

Blender (Everything)

Angels (climbing)

Revolver (sprint)

if you do them how you should, then you will cry. Have a cadence sensor. I use the trax IDT. The giant ones just don't have enough resistance

So I would take it that one simply needs to keep the cadence going at said value and set your tension to reach 8/10... I have a Tacx Booster and Rollers... Rollers, no tension though

9/10 is your effort. if you try setting 9 at 100 rpm sprint as per revolver then you will fall apart.

start with very dark place or blender. With blender you might make the first 45 min on you first try

Yip you will need some resistance because some of them are at a lower cadence but higher RPE. They take you through what 1...10 is ito suffering
