I think if you are looking for clean riders then look elsewhere than the Tour de France.

Maybe look at the local fun rides.... although....... does taking myprodol count as doping? Lately I have learned that myprodols are quite popular under amateur endurance athletes.

In SA you're more likely to find dopers in the categories rather than the pro peloton.

Not sure if myprodol counts as doping.

I like to sleep on the top bunk the week before a race to get the benefits of sleeping at a higher altitude. I always check the race regulations before, but I've never seen anything that says this isnt allowed.

Yip

This thread is like picking at a scab. It's not going to end well.

People keep saying this, and our local pros keep getting caught.

I am going to erect a tent in my back yard and make it air proof with duck tape and sleep in it.

Am I allowed to sleep with a sock in my mouth the week before a big race?

This is a grey area but the general concensus is that this is allowed as long as its a Falke sock.

If I were you I'd also practice climbing onto the podium and waving. I like to do this too. I built a podium out of polystyrene, wood glue, and toothpicks based on an image of the TDF podium on google images. I started off just climbing onto the 3rd step, and slowly worked my way up to the top step. Be careful of overtraining and make sure you include a rest day in your program

I also like to put my bike on the trainer with a mirror behind it. Then I practice that "Lance to Ullrich look around straight in the eyes" before attacking myself on the trainer.
