Ball achingly hot, but not being able to fit a bottle cage in the frame is a bit of a deal breaker.

Yeah, sadly possibly a deal breaker for you but many Enduro, trail, AM riders ride with substantial packs carrying bladders. Personally I don't run a cage on my HT trail bike as I've always got my Camelbak with me on these rides. Yes, probably an area they could improve but it would no doubt impact on their chosen suspension design. Obviously not such a big issue for On-One.

Bottles are for race snakes/marathon riders, enduro riders use packs, good luck keeping a bottle in your cage on some trails.

Look, many riders prefer to use a bottle. Many of my mates run bottles on our trail rides, as many don't.

The differentiating factor here for me is that On-One are punting the 27.5 Codeine as an Enduro weapon - 150mm rear travel, run with a 160mm fork. To get their suspension design to work the way they want it to - it doesn't involve a bottle cage. I suspect they don't anticipate too many Codeine buyers placing this as a make or break option and see it as a small compromise as many guys (and gals) will ride with packs.

No I know it's Friday and that will get a lot of guys backs up every person has their own preference,I prefer a pack myself just cause it has everything in it that I need in there. Also my bike is like the Codeine and the suspension design does not allow for any bottles but that is a very small trade off for a awesome bike.

Sorry?

Use a proper water bottle cage and your bottle will be secure.

I personally prefer a water bottle for 1-2hr rides.

If you can fit one,I am looking for one of those hip packs at the moment that carries a bottle and your basics.I saw a cool one that Mavic had at Eurobike.

Isn't that for when you don't have a bike and have to use your feet to get around?... ^_^

Chill, dude.

Different strokes. I personally prefer having a cage to have a bottle for shorter rides.

On-One's suspension layout precludes running a bottle cage in the front triangle and that's fine. I enjoy having options and my preference is to a trail bike that offers that, like most do.

Maybe I'm just not #Enduro #Gnarl #BermBabyBerm enough for an On-One.

Didn't mean that to come across as aggressive. I'm in the same boat as you. Shorter rides and racing I take a bottle. Trail rides a tend to lug stuff in a pack so choose to use that for water too. Was just offering a possible reason as to the lack of provision for a cage. Not justifying it or condemning it.

You joke... but sans the fanny pack, that's what most self proclaimed #Enduro riders look like these days..isn't it?...
