Will the bioplus not spike you too much before the race? Must admit i dont know Turbo Energy, who manufactures that?

Yes it does boost me, the Turbo Energy I buy at the pharmacy, its at the Bioplus stuff etc. The Turbo Energy also contains caffiene which keeps the levels up throughout the race.

Should i have clarified that im only looking for comments re over the counter products?

That's just boring.

But if you insist.

Your most important supplement is your diet, one needs to eat properly.

Then one needs to train & train some more.

Personally I feel that people expect too much from supplements.

Eat properly & train properly and you'll do well in your rides.

I also enjoy the 32Gi supplements but have also done rides with GAME.

Methylhexanimine is what the Comrades guy was busted for. Not a good idea hey.

Any reason why its not a good idea? If you are tested it makes sense, but for the average joe why not?

The stimulant didnt turn him into a winner, hard work and dedication did. (I'm not defending him, he got busted, end of story)

I take it in the mornings before I ride, so it wakes me up and I'm not still asleep and mentally tired for my first hour of riding.

Ps, its out of your system in less than 24 hours, so you could go wild everyday of the week, and pass tests on weekends for race day if thats what you want.

Other than the stated potential Methylhexanamine side effects of headache, nausea, and stroke?

Wikipeadia:

"In February 2012, the deaths of two US soldiers who collapsed during physical training in preceding months prompted a military investigation of the popular bodybuilding supplement that was found in their systems. This prompted the Department of Defense to pull products containing methylhexaneamine from on-base store shelves pending an investigation"

WebMD: It has also been banned in New Zealand. Its use has been linked to several reports of serious, life-threatening side effects.

But who cares about that? If it 'wakes you up' all is well! I'm sure it does not hurt as acutely as shaking your head so your ears can smack you across the face

I use Whasp Amino Carb pro and I top it up with Vitargo blast. Don't use gels for training or racing.

Think of supplements in this way. If it is not on the WADA list, chances are rather remote that it will make you faster/stronger/last longer.

I love this guy.

Oxygen tent!

I had my blood tested after about2 months of been in the tent at night Haematocrit 0.481/L.

Did the test again this week at Pathcare this week after been out of the tent for 6 week 0.401/L.

Thats like a 16% difference without EPO!
