The climb at the end looks mean....

It is nasty, you climb out of the cradle up to Hendrik Potgieter, then there is another litle rise, then you turn left and head up the hill passed sterkfontein hospital to the finish!

I'm sitting with a predicament at the moment. On Saturday (the 1st Sep) I'm riding the Down&Dirty trailseeker. Do I race back to back and do the D2D on the Sunday?

PS, I'm riding the Double Century at the end of November, so this could be a good training opportunity!

EDIT: at road events I usually ride A bunch.

Go out too hard in the first half, and you will pay the price in the second half.

Save something in the legs for the last 15k's, and especially for the last 4.

Why not? Good training, and D2D is one of the best races on the calender imo.

If you are really tired from Saturday, and ride A group with me, then at least I know I won't finish last...

Same here, but I'll be taking it easy on the road (I think)

Famous last words.

When a cyclist is off the bike, good judgement and common sense prevails.

Put him on the bike, strap on a helmet, show him another cylist and the finish line, and all that good judgement is gone.

Thanks, but the A group is not a definite as I'm not sure where my weighted index of 13.889 will put me. Either way, if that is the case; I have someone to ride with. :)

EDIT: So it's settled, back to back it is.
