Advise on GPS Heart rate Monitor

Hi guys/girls.

 

I need advise on which GPS HRM to buy for triathlon training. I don't want the best money can buy, but rather value for money. Something around R2000 will be perfect, if there is something like that

I am a Garmin whore, so would highly recommened the 910, but its pretty much double your budget. 910XT or 310XT are only true multisport one from Garmin.

Polar and Suunto also good multi, but still the Forerunner are tops in my book for usability and value for money

If you ok with just run/bike GPS, 610 is awesome, but cannot swim with it!! Its also only a bit more than your budget

Hint: mates with Momentum Multiply medicals can organise a nice discount on Garmin :-)

With that budget you could probably find a second hand 310 xt (Garmin)

I have used it for triathlons and find it very easy to use. Only problem with this model is it cannot measure distance in the water where as the 910 xt could

I love the Edge 500 defiantly the best for cycling, get it from evens cycles much cheaper. But the OP is looking for a Triathlon gps so its probably not the right thing.
