Not a bad deal, but i prefer garmin over bryton. I'm sorry I bought the bryton rider50 when i lost my edge700. You cant direct download rides off the device. You have to first upload to their website, then download each ride as a tcx/gpx/whatever from their site

Thanks, but is that a real reason why not to get this device? Apart from the hassle of having to upload the rides to their website is there any other disadvantage?

Well if you have any 3rd party software(trainingpeaks...sporttracks3, and trust me you will eventually want to use them) you first have to upload to their site to extract back into a format that you can upload into these software packages, this is a ballache. I will not touch a bryton because of this reason even if they were 10 bucks. I still don't understand why they want to lock you into their stupid file format when capturing data.

you can get the same deal from buycycle...oops deal not avail any more!

well spotted... strange how Groupon mentioned it was R2,999.00 and BuyCycle has its normal price of R2,199.00

That deal is not as good as it sounds......... unless it includes the cadence and speed sensors. The 35 is an old model It has been replaced by the Rider40. You should be paying less than R2000 for the full bundle (Rider35) from an online store. That being said, the unit is not that bad. Battery life is a big plus. The fact that you have to upload to their site first is a real bummer. But other than that, its a nice unit.
