I took a tumble this weekend

The equestrian shops sell a medical emergency bracelet type of thing we have to wear for eventing - its called a crashband - I have mine under my saddle (bike) - and has all your emergeny details, contact numbers and medical details including med problems, allergies etc. handy little thing.

Just hope your bike doesn't end up too far from you in the event of an accident...

IMO any form of emergency ID should be kept on your person not your bike.

After about 6 years of use, the engraving on my tag is fading badly. Great product. My kiddies iceid's are strapped to the top of their helmets. ( I learned this after too many "lost and founds")

I will be ordering a new one soon

Also ordered my ICE ID PRO on Monday. Scored some brownie points with a usually grumpy wife, think I paid for many many more miles over weekends on my MTB!

Not Knocking the ICE ID product, (any form of medical identification that keeps me out of a government hospital is a necessity in my eyes) but I use the Samaratin Band.

With these you can change the info without getting a new band/tag as often as you like (All your data is stored online)

R145 delivered.

Saw something similar at Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday for about the same price. My only problem is that I am often riding in remote locations and neighboring countries, so the SMS line wont always work. Good idea though.

My ICEID is also now shipped

So I am back at work today. Not so happy about that. Saw the Dr yesterday and should be back on the bike in 6 weeks. Whoop.

Come on HUBBERS, if you dont think it will ever happen to you. It happens to the best of us at some time or another.

I've been supporting hubbers for over 3 years. Its a great time to get the new silicone ICE ID PRO

10% off for all hubbers use code THEHUB in discount coupon on website http://www.iceid.co.za/new-pro-ice-id/

Hope you heal soon!

I've had one for a while and don't leave home without it... too many scary Baragwanath (sp?) stories.

I also prefer having something attached to me rather than the bike so that if the bike is trashed or you are out cold the last the the medics are worried about is scratching in your saddle bag.

(PS. These bands last!)

Iceid arrived yesterday, big thanks to them for this. My wife is now chilled with me riding again. Started gym yesterday. Not allowed to do anything upper body yet, but stoked that i am moving so quickly after. It was a very different story when I broke my wrists. Another 3 and a half weeks and I should be able to ride again.
