i find the best gloves are Troy Lee design, just really hard to come by.

 

And Thor, got a pair from Full Throttle and they are holding up well

just went into full throttle cresta and see that they have the fox mtb kit, lids and gloves in stock. they said that the 2013 range is landing in oct.

Ive never seen the fox stuff cheap except online. They have a bit of stuff, i was interested in the fox ranger pants they were going for R849.95.

For most of my riding i wear baggies from Jay-Jays or some other surf shop, and whichever T-shirt jumps in my hand first.

 

Cheap. Works. Alternative.

 

The price of some of these MTB specific baggies is crazy... some are over 1000 Rondts. R200 shorts are fine for me!

 

That said, I do have dedicated DH kits... (tops purchased from MX stores, pants/shorts from CRC)... but I only wear them when I'll be wearing a full face.

 

FYI, the REALLY hip riders wear flannel shirts and skinny jeans/cut off jeans.

I think I spoke to the village idiot there last week then. They didn't have a clue what I was talking about when I asked for short sleeve jerseys and shorts.

 

Sergeant shorts are R549,00 at Buycycle and the Live Wire jerseys are R299.

The only hassle I find with boardshorts is the lack of regular pockets... So I just wear regular baggies (and sometimes skinny-jean cut offs.

 

As for jerseys, one can pick up Acerbis jerseys from Full Throttle for about R200 each. Long sleeved though.
